Laurie Skipper
Laurie E. Skipper (BS, MS, MS, ThD) grew up Pentecostal, was baptized in the Holy Spirit at eight, and has taught and prophesied since her teens. Her spiritual journey moved her through the Faith movement, the Third Wave, the prophetic movement, and the emerging apostolic — always testing each new stream against Scripture. Her call as a prophet was recognized by her church leadership in 1990. Alongside decades of ministry, Laurie built a 35-plus-year career in Information Technology, retiring as a corporate IT Director before completing her Doctorate in Theology at Kingdom University — where this book began as her doctoral research. She continues to train and mentor others moving in the prophetic, including those called to the office of prophet.
Revival is sweeping college campuses — but revival was never meant to stop at the altar. A prophet, scholar, and 35-year IT executive traces the Seven Mountain Mandate from its origins to today, equipping believers to carry that fire into every sphere of culture.
Revival is here. Reformation is next.
Across college campuses and cities nationwide, thousands are turning to Christ in a wave of revival unlike anything in decades. But Dr. Laurie E. Skipper asks the question the Church can't afford to skip: what happens after the altar call? If revival doesn't move into reformation — if it doesn't reach the mountains of Media, Education, Government, Economy, Family, Arts & Entertainment, and Religion — the awakening will fade as quickly as it came.
The Seven Mountain Mandate: Taking Your Place of Influence began as doctoral research at Kingdom University and grew into a comprehensive field guide for anyone ready to carry Kingdom influence beyond the church walls. Dr. Skipper — a prophet recognized by her church leadership since 1990 and a woman who completed a 35+ year IT career as a director before completing her Doctorate in Theology — brings a rare combination to this subject: rigorous historical research and lived prophetic ministry.
In this book, you'll get:
The real history of the message — where the Seven Mountain Mandate actually came from, traced through its founders and early voices, so you understand the revelation instead of just repeating a catchphrase
A clear explanation of all seven mountains — Media, Education, Government, Economy, Family, Arts & Entertainment, and Religion — and what it looks like to occupy each one with Kingdom authority
A synergized framework — where competing versions and perspectives of the message finally get reconciled into one coherent picture
The Five-Fold Ministry connection — how apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers function not just inside the Religion mountain, but across all seven
Practical steps to "become an influence" — moving readers from inspired to equipped, with a clear sense of their own assignment and sphere
This isn't a book that stops at inspiration. It's a manual — historical, biblical, and practical — for believers who sense revival stirring and want to know what to actually do with it.
This book is for you if:
You've watched the recent wave of campus and city revivals and are asking, "What's next?"
You've heard the phrase "Seven Mountains" for years but have never gotten a clear, well-documented explanation of it
You're an apostolic or prophetic leader looking for a resource to train and equip others
You sense a call to influence culture — in business, government, education, media, the arts, or family — and want to understand that call biblically
You want depth and documentation, not just another surface-level treatment of the mandate
What you'll walk away with:
A clear, historically grounded understanding of the Seven Mountain Mandate, a framework for identifying your own mountain(s) of assignment, and a renewed sense of urgency to move from revival to reformation — in your life, your city, and your sphere of influence.
